Grenfell tower was a terrible disaster which killed 71 people and traumatised the 100s of people who lived in and around the tower. The events and news that unfolded in the following days and weeks highlighted the errors in how we report tragic events like this. So called trusted media sources were reporting witness events and speculation as news adding to the hysteria around a sensitive event. The rumours were disrespectful to the victims and survivors. The video and newspaper displays how both online and printed news can be untrustworthy and that journalism needs to take responsibility in reporting truth and not snappy headlines.
